Paterson: A Manufacturing Hub
Paterson was the country’s first planned industrial city. It was created in 1792 after Alexander Hamilton observed the Passaic River’s 77-foot-high Great Falls.
Paterson made silk, locomotives, weapons, and textiles. Because of its closeness to New York City, access to major highways, the Port of New York and New Jersey, and Newark Liberty International Airport, Paterson is an appealing site for manufacturers.
Paterson’s historic architecture, which includes ancient industries, brick warehouses, and elegant Beaux-Arts municipal buildings, has made it an appealing film setting today. In 2018, 23 projects were shot there.
Trenton: Capital City Of New Jersey

Trenton is conveniently located halfway between New York City and Philadelphia. Amtrak trains run from Trenton to Washington, D.C., New York City, and Boston.
Trenton is known as the “Crossroads of the Revolution,” and the American Revolution is still alive and well in the city. Thousands of tourists come each year during Patriots’ Week to commemorate George Washington’s crossing of the Delaware River in 1776.
