The remarkable story of Seton Hall University’s effort to reach out to the Latino Community and its students begins with the creation of the Joseph A Unanue Latino Institute.
Joseph A. Unanue of Goya Foods, Inc. has carried on his family's philanthropic tradition. Unanue and his wife Carmen have made great contributions to the arts, education and Latino community. Even after his retirement as CEO of Goya, Mr. Unanue has remained active in finding ways to improve the lives of the people in the Garden State.
This television special takes a close look at his legacy of impacting the lives of New Jerseyans. The Joseph A. Unanue Latino Institute aims to nourish the future Latino Leaders of our society by providing a fully accredited program of course studies, retention programs and scholarships for college and high school students . So, join us for an evening of celebration featuring emotional reactions and a thrilling grand opening concert performance by multi-Grammy Awarding winning musician Paquito D’Rivera who will transport us South of the Border with his great Latin sound.
