Images/Imagenes
presents a television special on Latin and
Jazz legend, Paquito D' Rivera. His life
and music will be the highlight of tonight’s
program along with his dream for a performing
arts center in Weehawken, New Jersey that
will serve the entire region. The town of
Weehawken is the home of the Lincoln Tunnel.
The name Weehawken stands for place of gulls
in the Lenape Indian language. They were
the original inhabitants of the area. Historically,
two hundred years ago on July 11, 1804,
Vice President Burr fatally wounded Alexander
Hamilton. This program serves to honor Paquito
D'Rivera and acknowledge one of history's
most famous duels.
