What's a Father? (3113)
"Homers
are nice, but a healthy son is even better." These
are the words of Jorge Posada, all-star catcher of the
New York Yankees. He has dedicated his baseball career
and his life to his son who was born with Craniosynostosis,
a medical condition that occurs when the bones of the
baby's skull fuse together before the brain stops growing.
On behalf of his son, he has created a foundation to
help other children with the same ailment.
This
program highlights the stories of dedicated fathers
who have gone out of their way to help their families.
The show is an inspirational look at the new Americans
and role of the father in our society.
