be a "Spokesdog" for all the wonderful animals who
are waiting in shelters for a second chance at life.
Homeless Tails has successfully helped thousands of

Hosting and producing "Homeless Tails" is the "purrfect" job for me.
It allows me to combine my love for animals with the broad reach
of television, to help thousands of shelter dogs and cats find new
homes.
NJN has been providing
this valuable public service to New Jersey shelters since 1993.
We're proud of the program's success rate at helping homeless pets
and educating viewers about how to take proper care of their animals.
Since my father and brother
are both veterinarians, I imagine my interest in animals comes naturally.
I have been privileged
since I began working at NJN in 1988 to be involved in many exciting
projects. Among the highlights were descending deep underground
into an abandoned mine shaft to report on New Jersey bats and diving
into a steel shark cage to videotape the awesome great white off
South Australia.
I have been nominated
eight times for Emmy Awards, seven of those for my work on animal issues.
I graduated from Rutgers
University in 1982 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, and
I'm a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
My husband, daughter and I adopted a beautiful yellow lab puppy from a New Jersey animal shelter in 2003. Sunny brings great joy to the family. It took several years, but our elderly cat Hobie finally has decided to tolerate his presence.
