Poe Evermore – Imagine Edgar Allen Poe reciting his tales of horror, while Miss Annabelle Lee teaches charm to a group student from Ocean County. The 2008 Annual Ocean County Gifted and Talented Convocation features actors who present workshops in a challenging yet entertaining format.
Friendship Animation – Classroom Close-up, NJ producer Kevin Ronan uses his video editing skills to help his daughter’s teacher create animation for character education projects. Students at Betty McElmon Elementary School in West Long Branch are learning claymation animation while learning how to be a good citizen.
Science Fair – The future paleontologists turn their school into a haven for prehistoric dinosaurs. Young children from Powell Elementary School in Camden share their love of history and science and their knowledge of the dinosaurs during a school wide science fair.
Stem Cell – Bergen County Academies is a vocational school for gifted and talented students, and prepares them for vocations for the 21st century and beyond. A new Biotechnology Lab for Stem Cell Research provides students with hands-on experience where they perform medical research and diagnostic procedures in a scientific setting.
