School of Character - Rosa International Middle school in Cherry Hill is a student-centered environment where administrators, faculty, staff and parents continually review, discuss and explore ways to better meet the needs of every child. The school is a National School of Character, one of just 10 schools nationwide selected for this honor by the Character Education Partnership.
Voices from the Land – Students from Alloway Township Schools create outdoor art sculptures as part of a “Voices of the Land” Project. The students give their sculpture a voice by writing prose or poetry about the sculpture. For more information about the project, go to www.eirc.org.
Black Light Theater – The stage at Lambertville Elementary School turns into a visually magical experience with a black light theater production. A resource room teacher, Karen Pagan, and a retired art teacher Dolores Dragan, give students with learning challenges a chance to exhibit their creative theatrical talents in a production called “A String of Pearls.”
Poe Evermore – Imagine being spellbound as Edgar Allen Poe himself recites "The Raven", his most famous and darkly tragic poem of love and loss, then kicking up your heels while learning dance and charm from the sprightly Trepeta. Actors performing at the Ocean County Gifted and Talented Convocation took students back in time to Poe's world.
