PUSH – Children often block out adults when they talk about drugs, but they tend to listen to someone closer to their age. For the past 18 years, a club at North Brunswick Township High School has successfully influenced the lives of children in their town through a program called PUSH – Prevention Using Student Help. Fourth and fifth graders at Livingston Park Elementary School learn what it means to PUSH.
Men of Note – The Cherry Hill High School West male vocal group, Men of Note, made history by winning two consecutive National Championships for Varsity Vocals, International Best of High School, A Cappella. The seniors explain how their teacher Christine Bass inspires them to do their best.
Word Play – National Vocabulary third place winner Daniel James Theobald Verdon Thorn of Teaneck visits his mentor Alice Twomlby’s class to stress the importance of reading and a love for vocabulary.
Whodunnit? – Advanced Placement biology students at Nottingham North High School in Hamilton participate in a CSI type "Whodunnit?" They discover which administrator stole a chocolate cake from the teacher's lounge by using DNA, with the help of Princeton University which supplies the school with cheek cell extraction.
