MoMA – Kindergarten teacher Kim Makowski is hosting the second annual MoMA, Museum of Makowski Art. The children from Quarles School in Englewood will feature 10 major artists in a gallery event. The kindergartners will serve hors d’oeuvres and sparkling cider to their parents and guests, and sell cards displaying the students’ art.
NY, NY – A cross curriculum project at Waldwick High School incorporates lessons of New York City in visual arts, photography, music, home economics, and information management. The students display their work for the community during a special evening.
Cotillion – The Cultivating Society Club at Pleasantville Middle School holds a Cotillion each year. After a year of keeping up their grades and good behavior, the girls are rewarded with a pageant. The goal of this club is to cultivate these young girls into strong women who are self assured and confident.
Respect, Reflect, Remember – Fieldstone Middle School in Montvale is conducting a special day called Respect, Reflect and Remember. Nearly 50 special speakers will share their life experiences, ranging from the holocaust, slavery in Sudan, civil rights, and physical disabilities.
