READ 180 – Teachers at John Marshall Elementary in Edison use READ 180, an intensive reading intervention program, to meet the needs of students who are reading below grade level. Then the teachers use digital storytelling, a program taught by Kean University, to bring their stories to life.
Pride in Who You Are – As part of an ongoing effort to inspire immigrants to seek success through education, the Roselle school district invites professionals from the community to share their journey to success. A panel of Haitian professionals engaged ESL students from Wilday Junior High School and Abraham Clark High School in an exciting discussion about immigrant life in New Jersey.
