Repeat: Saturday, March 29 at 9:00 am
Zippy’s Friends – When do you start teaching children how to cope with the stress of life? Experts in England say as early as kindergarten. New Bridge Center at Cherry Hill School in Rivers Edge is the first school in the states to implement this program.
Musical Romeo & Juliet – Students at Morris Plains Borough School write and compose their own musical, a modern version of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. Three different 8th grade classes are responsible for taking a scene, writing opening and closing dialogue in modern English and relevant to the school setting, and setting it to modern music.
Veteran’s Day – Students at Riverton School (Burlington County) honor our veterans with an annual Veteran’s Day Assembly. They perform patriotic music, skits and written work. Thanks to an NJEA Pride in Public Education grant, they also provide lunch for about 50 guests.
Explore 2000 – Hudson County Vocational School has teamed up with Liberty Science Center to create a school called Explore 2000. The students attending this special middle school have access to the multi-million dollar center on a daily basis, including the television facility where they produce a weekly show.
