HIPP - Waldwick High School students will experience the relationship between the political process and the environment in a program called Highlands Initiative Preservation Program (HIPP). This program is funded through the NJEA Frederick L. Hipp Foundation for Excellence in Education.
Model UN - Vernon High School ninth graders participate in a Model United Nations, with the help of last year’s New Jersey Teacher of the Year Peggy Stewart.
HOSTS - Ocean City Primary School initiated a program called HOSTS (Helping One Student to Succeed). It is an academic mentoring program that relies on community volunteers to work with struggling readers.
Civic Responsibility – Morris County School of Technology High School (Denville) students repair cars for governmental agencies. While training in the field of auto repair, they also save taxpayers money and show the value of community involvement.
