Animation – Fran Campbell, a teacher at Absegami High School located in Absecon, has been awarded a grant of $10,000 for the Greater Egg Harbor Regional High School District to support an "animation" artist-in-residence program as an enhancement to one of New Jersey's first year-long, high school computer-based, cartoon animation courses.

Toys for Tots – The Student Council at Heritage Middle School in Livingston, holds a toy drive every holiday season in cooperation with the US Marine Corps Toys for Tots program. The family and consumer science and technology education classes made some of the toys that were donated.

Civil War Re-enactment – Students at Irvington High School learn about the Civil War by actually recreating it. The students focus on the contributions of African Americans during the Civil War.

The Value of Music – Lynn Williams from Thompson Middle School in Middletown Township loves teaching music. She has grown the musical program into one of the largest choral groups in the state, and one of the most popular classes at the school. But budget cuts threaten the program.
