Puppets in Education - Students at New Egypt Elementary
School in Plumstead Township perform with puppets in
an effort to encourage their imagination and self expression.
They use drama, reading, writing, Spanish, and art to
accomplish this project. They also communicated with
students in Mexico to broaden their view of the world.
The program is funded through a grant from the NJEA
Frederick L. Hipp Foundation for Excellence in Education.
College Bound - Educators at
West Windsor-Plainsboro H.S. North believe all students
can succeed. But they realize that they must meet the
emotional as well as the academic demands of the students.
Student with emotional problems attend a special academy.
Last year 100 percent of seniors in that program graduated
and went on to 2 and 4 year colleges.
ChildrenSong
of New Jersey - Students ages 7 to 17 from schools
in Camden, Burlington, and Gloucester counties participate
in a choral music group called ChildrenSong. In addition
to performing, the students attend workshops including

Prosperity
New Jersey - To help students make a seamless transition
from the classroom into the workplace, Prosperity New
Jersey is establishing Career Academies, which are small
learning communities within high schools. Adam Pechter,
