Losing
Your Marbles - Ocean Intermediate students are losing
their marbles over math. While constructing a marble
roller coaster, the students are learning critical thinking
skills as well as problem solving.

Led Conferences - We've all heard of parent teacher
conferences. Well, have you ever heard of a student-led
conference? The students in 6th grade at F.W. Holbein
Middle School in Mount Holly discuss with their parents
their behavior, their strengths and weaknesses and their
progress in school.
Award
of Excellence - Each year the New Jersey Education
Association honors outstanding high school graduates
who have gone on to successful careers. This year the
NJEA is honoring social activist Helen Zia. She graduated
from JFK High in Willingboro, and her focus is on civil
and women's rights, and countering hate violence. NJEA
is also honoring astronaut Mark Polansky, a graduate
from John P. Stevens High in Edison.
Aura
Morning News - A communication major from Rowen
State College works with the students at Aura Elementary
in Elk Township to put on a school-wide newscast.
