Show #115:

Making Dreams Take Flight - Fifth-graders at Warren E. Sooy Elementary in Hammonton are building a real plane - one that will actually take flight! Additionally the students are learning all about aviation. During Black History Month the students will meet Tuskeegee Airmen and the Eagle Flight Squadron, an aviation program for young people.

Teacher of the Year - Barbara LaSaracina, a fifth grade teacher at Woodland School in Warren Township (Somerset County), is New Jersey's Teacher of the Year. While she inspires her students, she also has a tremendous impact on the lives of new teachers.

Sign Language - Schools often teach Spanish and French as a foreign language. But at the Walnut Street School in Woodbury sign language is offered as a foreign language.

Spanish - Students, parents and community members from Washington Township are learning Spanish at the Long Valley Middle School. Jannette Ezeta, who came from Peru just last year, motivates an entire community to learn the love of a new language.
