Show #112:

One Size Fits Few - Author Susan Ohanian believes that political agendas sometimes overrule common sense in the classroom. Ohanian is referring to mandates that require teachers to treat all students the same. She believes that children cannot learn the same way, in the same time period, and that they do not need to learn all the same subjects.

Job Sharing - Two Kindergarten teachers at Collins Elementary School in Livingston are participating in a pilot Job Sharing Program. Hear from the teachers and the parents how this project is working and how the children are benefiting from the knowledge of two teachers.

Law Magnet - Watch students at Lincoln High School engage in a mock trial as they learn the ins and outs of the legal profession. The students in this Law Magnet program in Jersey City learn all about careers in the legal profession, from correction officer to lawyer.

Autistic Program - Riverside Elementary in Princeton has an outstanding program for students with autism. Now in its third year, the school uses mainstreaming and reverse mainstreaming to accommodate the needs of the students with autism.
