#104:
Newsroom
- Special and regular education students at Woodcrest
Elementary School in Cherry Hill work as partners to
create a newsroom. The students not only learn the basics
of reading, writing, directing, public speaking, operating
cameras and constructing sets, they also learn about
respecting one another.
Sleepover
- To celebrate their reading achievements, first graders
at Aura Elementary School in Glassboro (Elk Township)
attend a sleep over. With the all purpose room covered
in sleeping bags, the students play games, read stories
and make lady bug desserts -- a night they will not
soon forget.
Gourmet
Café - Imagine kindergartners donning chef hats
and aprons to cook and serve food in their own restaurant.
Students at the Westbrook School in West Milford learn
everything from math to reading with this program, which
is funded through the NJEA Frederick L. Hipp Foundation
for Excellence in Education.
Camden
Creative Arts - This magnet school in Camden is
only in its first year, but has already attracted talented
students interested in pursuing careers in the arts.
Discover how this school gives Camden students a chance
for a brighter future.
