Show #102:

Partners in Time – Piscataway Township Schools are giving parents all the tools they need to help their children succeed. Parents receive kits, videos, and even a television show to help them better understand how to help their children with homework.

Scientific Woodworkers – Second graders at Linden Avenue School in Glen Ridge are learning about science, math, and history while building flower boxes and planting a Native American garden on the school grounds. This program is funded through the NJEA Frederick L. Hipp Foundation for Excellence in Education.

Grey Eye Glances – Ten years ago Eric O’Dell and Dwayne Keith were learning their love of music from Cherry Hill East High School teacher Bruce Yurko. Today they return to the school to share with music students how they made their love of music into a successful career. The two former New Jersey high school students are part of the group called Grey Eye Glances.

No Place Like Home – When Morris Plains Borough teacher Susan Vigilante heard that two of her students were trapped in Iran because of problems with their citizenship documents, she launched a letter-writing campaign that was instrumental in getting David and Melody Danielpour back home.
