Partners
in Time Piscataway Township Schools are giving
parents all the tools they need to help their children
succeed. Parents receive kits, videos, and even a television
show to help them better understand how to help their
children with homework.
Scientific
Woodworkers Second graders at Linden Avenue
School in Glen Ridge are learning about science, math,
and history while building flower boxes and planting
a Native American garden on the school grounds. This
program is funded through the NJEA Frederick L. Hipp
Foundation for Excellence in Education.

Eye Glances Ten years ago Eric ODell
and Dwayne Keith were learning their love of music from
Cherry Hill East High School teacher Bruce Yurko. Today
they return to the school to share with music students
how they made their love of music into a successful
career. The two former New Jersey high school students
are part of the group called Grey Eye Glances.

Place Like Home When Morris Plains Borough
teacher Susan Vigilante heard that two of her students
were trapped in Iran because of problems with their
citizenship documents, she launched a letter-writing
campaign that was instrumental in getting David and
Melody Danielpour back home.
