African Influence on Latino Culture (1226)

When Africans were forced onto slave ships, they were not only dropped off in the United States, but in the Caribbean, Central and South Americas, and Mexico. We examine the African ancestry of Latinos and how it has influenced their culture. A significant part of the music, religion and other aspects can be traced back to Africa, thus creating a common cultural bond between Latinos and African Americans.

Studio guests - Evelyne Laurent-Perrault, Afro Latina Activist - Hector Bonilla, Educator - Ron McGee, Historia
