Empowering Students takes a look at non-traditional approaches that are being used in the classroom to raise self awareness and self esteem of students. Another View travels to Creative Arts High School in Camden, New Jersey to learn more about the arts curriculum that has produced a 100% graduation rate and college attendance rate for years.
The show also explores how implementing African-American history into the curriculum translates into better student performance, and will explore the implications of the controversial No Child Left Behind Act. Guests include Dr. Karen Jackson -Weaver, Executive Director New Jersey Amistad Commission and Darryl Walls, Leadership Development Specialist.
