This 90-minute program covers the Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission's 15th annual MLK Holiday Commemorative Celebration. This year's event was held in Trenton's War Memorial and the theme…"Remember! Celebrate! Act! A Day On...Not a Day Off" Featured speakers were DeForest B. Soaries, Jr., NJ Secretary of State and Rev. Dr. Willie J. Smith, editorialist with The Times of Trenton. The keynote speech was given by Secretary Soaries. The event also featured various performing artists who each paid special tribute to Dr. King. They include Gary Edison performing "The Letter from the Birmingham Jail," Trenton Silver Linings presented a dance tribute called "Free At Last," and the Anastasis Vocal Group from Indonesian Pioneer SDA Church. In addition there was a solo performance by Miss New Jersey, Jill Horner and the event featured the American Boychoir and the Resident Training Choir of the American Boychoir. There were more speakers and a special presentation of Many Faces / One Family awards.
