her first novel, Caucasia, Danzy
Senna,
writes about the experiences of strong -minded,
bi-racial young girl who grows up in the racially
explosive Boston in the 1970's. She is faced
with trying to find her place in the world
amidst living an underground existence. Senna,
who is bi-racial herself, discusses, race and
class tensions in America with the community
and a Master's class at Seton Hall University
where she guest lectures
