Red Hurley’s powerful voice, relaxed charm and energetic performances have touched European audiences for nearly 40 years. Now, in his public television debut, Hurley
shares a collection of moving songs. Taped at the historic Olympia Theater in Dublin,
the concert includes “Emigrant Eyes,” a ballad about a grandfather’s immigration to
America; “Kilkelly Ireland,” revealing the strength of a family’s love through 150-year-old
letters discovered recently in a Boston attic; and the inspirational anthem “I Will Sing.” A
prolific hit maker, Hurley has racked up fifteen No. 1 singles and eight No. 1 albums in his
native Ireland, and is considered to have one of the best voices to come out of the
Emerald Isle.
