Ready to Lead in Literacy   Ready To Lead in Literacy
CPB's Ready To Lead in Literacy Service provides a unique contribution to the nation's goal that all children start school "ready to learn." It is an unprecedented blending of services; the full lineup of PBS children's series-- the quality, educational, nonviolent, noncommercial programming that parents have trusted for two generations; program breaks delivering educational messages; and a variety of outreach services and materials for parents, teachers, and other caregivers of children ages birth through 8.

Classroom Close-up, NJ   Classroom Close-up, NJ
Classroom Close-up, NJ is a magazine program focusing on innovative education in New Jersey's public schools. This 30-minute weekly series features the students, teachers, and communities who create and participate in successful school projects and events.
     
New Media and African American Community   New Media and African American Community
NJN partnered with the New Jersey Campus Diversity Initiative to help African American high-school students gain knowledge and confidence in navigating the World Wide Web. The project teaches students how to pursue effective Internet research based on their needs and interests. By leading them to independently explore web sites centered on African American culture, history, and issues, the program empowers students to learn about and participate in their communities via the Internet.
