YOO HOO (1986)
Research
shows that children should be taught to resist peer pressure
at the preschool and kindergarten levels. Educators agree
that setting healthy standards at an early age is the best
way to help young people fight temptations in the future.
The valuable lessons offered in this 15-minute Program may
help children enjoy a "drug-free" lifestyle. Yoo
Hoo tells the story of a nine-week-old puppy adopted from
the animal shelter by David, a nine-year-old boy. David realizes
he has a lot to teach "Yoo Hoo" in order to keep
him safe, help him grow and stay healthy. The dog and his
friend become the living symbols, which demonstrate to young
children what the human body cannot handle. Children will
learn how to: stay healthy; know the difference between the
"real" friends and "so-called" friends;
know the difference between good, clean medicines and bad,
dirty drugs; and finally children will learn how to say "no"
to drugs.
