Kate Megargee

Kate Megargee is a multiple Emmy-award-winning producer with twenty-six years of experience in broadcasting.

Since beginning her work with the New Jersey Network five years ago, Megargee’s work has been honored with Emmys from the Mid Atlantic Region and New York Region of the National Association of Television Arts and Sciences. In June, “Caregiving Solutions”, an NJN special Megargee co-produced in October, 2002, won a Philadelphia Press Association Award.

In addition, Megargee’s work has also been honored by the New Jersey Associated Press Broadcasters’ Association and the New Jersey State Bar Association.

Megargee started her broadcasting career in radio in Atlantic City, and moved on to a television anchor job in Maryland. From there, she worked as an anchor-reporter in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and for WQED-TV in Pittsburgh. Her other radio credits include anchor positions with WCAU radio and KYW Newsradio, both in Philadelphia.

Kate Megargee is a New Jersey native. She was raised in Ocean City and graduated from Montclair State University.
