TSgt. Luther B. Ferrel
Sgt. Ferrel enlisted on 20 August, 1941, in Portland, Oregon. He served as an Aerial Engineer. As such, he was responsible for his plane's mechanical perfection. He made sure it was ready to fly, and if there was a problem, he was the one who fixed it.
He served in Algeria, Naples, Rhineland, Rome, Sicily and Tunisia. He was awarded the American Defense Service medal, Distinguished Unit Badge GO 166, the European African Middle-Eastern Service medal, and the Good Conduct medal. He was discharged on 9 September, 1945.
