Hannibal

Composer,
jazz trumpeter and poet Hannibal started
life in the cotton fields of Texas. He has lived
in both New York City and with the Masai Tribes
of West Africa. He now appears on major concert
stages throughout the world. This March, The New
Jersey Symphony Orchestra premieres Hannibal's newest
work, God, Mississippi and a Man Called Evers, a
deeply personal work that honors slain civil rights
activist Medgar Evers. We'll talk with him about
his latest musical epic.

Spend

Edison New Jersey resident and creator of the
nationally syndicated comic strip "Mutts.
Since making is debut in 1994, "Mutts"
has become known for its expressive art, humor,
and often philosophical writing. The strip features
the daily antics of animal characters Earl (the
dog) and Mooch (the cat). "Mutts" appears
in over 450 newspapers and is published in more
than 20 countries.
