Facing the Mortgage Crisis – Another View Live

Statewide – Facing the Mortgage Crisis – Another View Live is a follow-up to the Another View mortgage crisis documentary that aired in August illustrating how Camden, NJ is impacted by the mortgage crisis.

In this half-hour Another View Live call-in, viewers will be invited to share their personal experiences and to pose questions related to the mortgage crisis. Studio guests will include Rebecca Schore, attorney with Legal Services of New Jersey. Schore will offer her perspective on how the legal community is struggling to keep up with the high volume of clients in need of representation. Other guests include experts who are on the frontline working to help those in need such as Stephanie A. Bittner, Community Education & Outreach Coordinator with Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Delaware Valley and Arnold Cohen Policy Coordinator with the Housing and Community Development Network of New Jersey.

NJN is one of several public TV stations involved in this public engagement initiative based on a model from KETC in St. Louis.  The Facing the Mortgage Crisis project is an initiative designed to help raise awareness and assist communities during this housing crisis. Partnering with NJN in this effort is NJ 2-1-1 referral service and several community organizations.
