An invitation to the media to attend
The ’09 New Jersey Gubernatorial Debate at NJN Studios in Trenton
Live Broadcast: Thursday, October 1 at 8 pm
Online:  streaming live at 8 pm on njn.net

What: ’09 Gubernatorial Debate – LIVE on NJN between Democratic incumbent Governor Jon Corzine, Republican candidate Chris Christie and Independent candidate Chris Daggett.  The ninety-minute debate will be broadcast live from the NJN Studios in Trenton, and will be simulcast on NJN Public Radio, and web cast and archived at njn.net.  Rebroadcast on Sunday, October 4 at noon and 6 pm.

When: Thursday, October 1 at 8 pm

Where: Studio D, NJN Studios, 25 South Stockton Street, Trenton, NJ

Moderator: Jim Hooker, NJN News senior anchor

Panelists: The debate is cosponsored by NJN Public Television & Radio, the Philadelphia Inquirer and Gannett NJ Newspaper Group.    Three journalists, one from each organization, will question the candidates.

Reservations: To reserve your space, please contact JoAnne Ruscio at (609) 777-3993 or jruscio@njn.org by 2 pm on Thursday, October 1.  Please include the names of reporters/photographers who will be attending.  Any changes or questions after 5 pm on Thursday, please call my cell at (609) 865-5508.

Credentials: Media must have press credentials to be permitted in press area.  Doors will open at 7 pm; audience must be seated by 7:45 pm. 

Parking: Parking is available in the lot at the Trenton City Municipal Hall next to NJN.  Please enter at the front door of NJN Studios at 25 South Stockton Street. Directions to NJN Studios in Trenton.

Seating: Seating for the media will be available in Studio D where the debate will take place or in adjoining Studio A where a monitor broadcasting the debate and wireless will be available.

Pool Feed: The sat coordinates are HORIZONS 2 (Ku) Dig  Transponder 07 – Slot 1.  Downlink Freq: 11945 (H)   Symbol Rate 3.9787   FEC: ¾. Feed from 7:30 pm to 8 pm (test); 8 pm to 9:30 pm (debate).

Photos: Still photography will be permitted before the debate begins and after the debate has been completed. No audio or video equipment may be used in Studio D during the debate.   In-place photo opps may be available on the set between 7:35 pm and 7:45 pm.
