What: Campaign ’09 Republican Gubernatorial Debate – LIVE on NJN between former US Attorney Chris Christie and Steve Lonegan. The one-hour debate will be broadcast live from the NJN studios. A panel of three reporters will ask the candidates questions. The debate will air live on NJN and will be simulcast on NJN Public Radio, and web cast and archived at njn.net.
When: Tuesday, May 12 at 8 pm. Rebroadcast: Friday, May 15 at 10 pm.
Where: Studio D, NJN Studios, 25 South Stockton Street, Trenton, NJ.
Moderator: Jim Hooker, NJN News anchor, will moderate the debate.
Panelists: A panel of reporters will question the candidates. The debate is cosponsored by NJN Public Television & Radio, the Philadelphia Inquirer and Gannett NJ Newspaper Group. There will be three journalists on the panel, one from each organization.

Media: Media must have press credentials to be permitted in press area. Doors will open at 7 pm; audience must be seated by 7:45 pm. Parking is available in the lot at the Trenton City Hall next to NJN. Press can enter from the employees’ entrance across the street from the parking garage entrance. Seating for the media will be available in Studio D where the debate will take place or in the adjoining Studio A where a monitor broadcasting the debate and wireless will be available. If you sit in Studio D where the debate takes place, you will not be able to leave until the debate is over since it is a live broadcast. There will be a feed.
Pool Feed: There will be an on-site and satellite pool feed. The pool feed will be fed on Satellite HORIZONS 2 (Ku) Dig Transponder: 07 – Slot 1, Downlink Freq: 11945 (H), FEC: ¾, Symbol Rate 3.9787. Test begins at 7:30 pm with debate feed at 8 pm.
Photos: Still photography will be permitted before the debate begins and after the debate has been completed. No audio or video equipment may be used in Studio D during the debate. In-place photo opps may be available on the set between 7:35 pm and 7:45 pm.
