Judge Robert Carter: Civil Rights Pioneer on NJN’s Award-Winning Due Process
Sunday, February 11 at 9:30 am and 6:30 pm and Tuesday, February 13 at 11:30 pm

Trenton, NJ – This month, as NJN celebrates Black History Month, Due Process producer Sandra King visits US District Court Judge Robert Carter, who turns 90 next month, for an exclusive, extended sit-down interview at his home. One of the architects of school desegregation, Judge Carter, then an attorney for the NAACP, made history when he argued Brown v. Board of Education before the US Supreme Court. In this special edition of Due Process, airing on NJN Sunday, February 11 at 9:30 am and 6:30 pm, and again Tuesday, February 13 at 11:30 pm, King and Judge Carter, both of whom were educated in the Newark Public Schools, explore the history and impact of the civil rights movement. Due Process host Raymond Brown closes the program with a moving personal commentary.
