Up-to-the-Minute, Live Election Coverage on NJN
Tuesday, November 7 at 8 pm

TrentonNJN News will provide comprehensive coverage of the 2006 election on Tuesday, November 7, with anchor Kent Manahan, senior political correspondent Michael Aron and the NJN News team. Live coverage of the senatorial and congressional races around the state will begin at 8 pm. The coverage airs simultaneously on NJN Public Radio and is web cast at njn.net.

NJN News correspondents will report live from the campaign headquarters of the New Jersey candidates for US senator: State House correspondent Jim Hooker from Democrat Robert Menendez’s headquarters; and Adrienne Supino from the headquarters of Republican Tom Kean, Jr. NJN will follow key congressional and county executive races, monitor the three statewide ballot questions and provide up-to-the-minute returns and analysis throughout the night on this critical election.

In the studio with Kent Manahan, providing ongoing analysis, will be Dr. David Rebovich, director of the Rider University Institute of Politics; Dr. Brigid Harrison, a professor in the Political Science and Law Department of Montclair State University; and Dr. Peter Whooley, executive director of the Farleigh Dickinson University’s PublicMind Poll.

Joining Michael Aron for commentary on election results will be Roger Bodman, Republican political analyst; Rick Thigpen, Democratic political analyst; Gregg Edwards, Republican political analyst; Julie Roginsky, Democratic political strategist; Jim Goodman, retired Trenton Times State House reporter; and, Herb Jackson, Washington, DC, bureau chief for The Record of Bergen County.

Leading up to the election, NJN's news and public affairs programs will continue to provide coverage of the races. This weekend, On the Record (Sunday at 9 am and 11 am, Monday at 6:30 am) and Reporters Roundtable (Friday at 6:30 pm and Sunday at 10 am) look at the campaigns and the issues. Following the election, well-known commentators will provide post-analysis coverage on NJN News, On the Record and Reporters Roundtable.
