STATEWIDE – NJN News will provide complete live coverage of Governor Jon Corzine’s Budget Message to a joint session of the New Jersey State Legislature on Tuesday, March 21, at 1 pm. State House correspondent Jim Hooker will host the program live from the Trenton studios with senior political correspondent Michael Aron at the State House. This special public affairs program also can be seen on Time Warner cable in New York and will be simulcast on NJN Public Radio and web cast and archived on the NJN web site at www.njn.net. The Budget Message will be rebroadcast on NJN Public Television at 10 pm. The program is closed captioned.

In his Budget Message, Governor Corzine will provide details on how his administration plans to close an estimated $5 billion dollar state budget gap. Aron will provide live coverage of the governor’s speech from the Assembly Chambers followed by a live report of the legislative response. Republican political insider Roger Bodman and Democratic Political Insider Rick Thigpen will provide analysis.
