STATEWIDE – For over three decades, Images/Imagenes has examined the critical issues of New Jersey’s Hispanic population. Images/Imagenes can be seen on Thursdays at 6:30 pm and Sundays at 8 am, and is web streamed and archived on the NJN web site at njn.net. The program can be seen on NJN’s JerseyVision and on Time Warner Cable on channel 750 in New York. Closed captioning is provided.

The world’s greatest Salsa dancers take the stage in an exhibition of fabulous foot work and partner dancing. Join us as we feature the NY/NJ Salsa Festival with performers from Europe, the Caribbean and South America. Tune in and learn about the history of the dance that incorporates the courtship of the chicken and rooster, the call and response of African story telling, and the artistry of dancers engaged in acrobatic choreographies worthy of a standing ovation. Join Images/Imagenes in a tribute to a dance form soon to become an Olympic sport.
LATIN JAZZ CELEBRATION – Thursday, March 23, at 6:30 pm; Sunday, March 26, at 8 am
This television special celebrates the history, legacy and greatness of Latin Jazz. Featuring a tribute to WBGO’s Latin Jazz Cruise, this radio program is considered an icon in the world of Latin Jazz. Be prepared to dance as Manny Oquendo’s Orquesta Libre honors the show with hot pulsating music stimulated by special guest trombonist, Jimmy Bosch.
