NEARLY SOLD OUT
Andre Rieu and the Johann Strauss Orchestra -
At Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City

STATEWIDE – On Friday, May 19, 2006, Andre Rieu and the Johann Strauss Orchestra return to New Jersey after sold-out concerts in 2004 and 2005. Rieu, “The Waltz King”, will thrill audiences during a special NJN benefit performance at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. Tickets are available exclusively through NJN by calling (800) 722-6588. Proceeds from the concert benefit NJN’s programming and community outreach. Each member who makes a contribution for at least two tickets will receive an Andre Rieu: The Flying Dutchman CD. Only a few tickets remain at the following levels per seat: gold – $100; silver – $75. Tickets are credit card only, non-refundable and non-returnable.

Dutch violinist and conductor André Rieu succeeds in giving expression to that pleasant and unique atmosphere so characteristic of the music of Johann Strauss and other Viennese composers. André Rieu grew up surrounded by classical music including works for large orchestra, chamber music and opera.

André Rieu presents his concerts with a touch of humor and irresistible charm, thus adding an extra dimension and ensuring that the public will experience an unforgettable evening. Although the waltz rhythm is the rhythm of his life (according to André, one's heart beats in three-four time), he and his orchestra play a lot more than waltzes these days. During his concerts, André offers a great variety of classical and popular music appealing to every generation.

For information only call the Andre Rieu Hotline at (800) 250-9108 or visit njn.net.
