NJN’s Kent Manahan interviews Chief Justice Deborah Poritz
in a special edition of On the Record

Trenton – NJN News anchor Kent Manahan will interview former New Jersey Supreme Court Chief Justice Deborah T. Poritz in a special edition of NJN’s public affairs program On the Record to be broadcast Sunday, December 10 at 9:00 am and 11:00 am and again on Monday, December 11 at 6:30 am.
Poritz, the first woman Chief Justice on the New Jersey Supreme Court, presided over hundreds of cases during her 10 years on the court. She retired in October of this year, having reached the mandatory retirement age of 70.
Kent Manahan will talk with Poritz about the decisions the Chief feels were the most important during her tenure on the High Court, a court which has gained a national reputation on many landmark decisions, as well as her unique role as the first woman Chief Justice in New Jersey and the challenges of managing the complexities of the New Jersey court system.
