"Fannie Lou Hamer
lived during a time when the presence of racism was raw and
brutal. She saw injustices and took a stand to make things
better. She literally stepped out on faith, risking her life,
challenging ignorance and fear. Working on this project and
documenting her powerful legacy is clearly one of the proudest
and most meaningful experiences of my professional journey.
As executive producer, I am deeply honored to have received
this award. And I share it with all the talented individuals
who worked along with me to illustrate Fannie Lou Hamer's incredible
story of courage and faith." says executive producer Linda
L. Coles. Giles R. Wright, director of the Afro-American
History Program at the New Jersey Historical Commission,
served as researcher for the program. Wayne Bryant Jr. was
assistant producer and Tonya Davis was production assistant.
Another View is
the longest-running African-American series in New Jersey . Now
in its 18th year, the show's mission is to produce quality programs
