See What’s Cooking when PBS Celebrity Chef Lidia Bastianich
of Lidia’s Family Table
Visits NJN Studies on Saturday, September 10

STATEWIDE – On Saturday, September 10, from 5 pm to 8 pm, watch everyone’s favorite Italian grandma Lidia Bastianich, cooking teacher, restaurant owner and host of the PBS television series: Lidia’s Family Table on NJN Public Television. NJN will present a five-episode marathon of the best of her hit PBS series. During the live program breaks, Lidia will prepare tantalizing, mouth-watering meals following recipes from her companion cookbook in the NJN Studio. The menu for the evening includes roasted beet salad, celery and artichoke salad, capellini with anchovy sauce, gomiti pasta with marinara and fresh basil, and skillet cooked broccoli. The Lidia’s Family Table marathon will be rebroadcast on Sunday, September 18, from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm.

With a $100 donation, contributors receive a copy of Lidia’s Family Table and participate in a special event at NJN Studios in Trenton on Saturday, September 10 between 2:30 pm and 4 pm. Contributors will have the opportunity to meet Lidia and have their books signed by her, ask her Italian cooking and wine questions, then partake of some light refreshments – Lidia style. The contribution benefits NJN programming and community outreach, and includes membership and a copy of her book.

To meet Lidia at NJN’s Trenton Studios, call Stephanie Lett at the NJN Members’ hotline at 800-882-6622. Don’t wait, space is limited.
