Candidates Gubernatorial Debate
Live on NJN
Public Television & Radio
Thursday, October 20
at 8 pm; rebroadcast on Sunday, September 25, at noon
FOR MEDIA ONLY – The
debate will be pre-taped at 1:45 pm on October 20. The
satellite coordinates for the debate are SBS 6 Transponder
4 KU band downlink frequency 11798 (v). Feed begins at
1:30 pm . There will be no audience for the debate, but
there will be a press room for media who would like to

STATEWIDE – NJN Public Television and Radio
will air a one-hour gubernatorial debate with Jeffrey Pawlowski,
the Libertarian party candidate, and Hector Castillo, running
under the “Education Not Corruption” banner on
Thursday, October 20 at 8 pm with a rebroadcast on Sunday,
October 23 at noon . Both candidates have qualified to take
part in televised debates sanctioned by the New Jersey Election
Law Enforcement Commission. Kent Manahan, NJN News anchor,
will moderate. Michael Aron, NJN senior political correspondent,
and Michael Symons, news editor, the Gannett New Jersey Bureau,
will ask the candidates questions.
On Sunday, October 30, at 12 noon , NJN will broadcast
the New Jersey Independent Candidates Forum. The
eight third-party and independent candidates running for
governor have been invited. They include the Green Party,
Socialist and Libertarian Party candidates. Both programs
will be simulcast on NJN Public Radio and will be available
for viewing at njn.net. The program is closed captioned and
can also be seen on Times Warner cable in New York on channel
750.
