Election Coverage of New Jersey's 2005 Gubernatorial Race on NJN
Tuesday, November 8, at 8pm
STATEWIDE – NJN News will provide live coverage of the New Jersey Gubernatorial Race, state assembly and local elections on Election Day, Tuesday, November 8, on NJN Public Television and Radio. NJN News anchor Kent Manahan, senior political correspondent Michael Aron and the NJN News team will provide up-to-the minute reporting on the election on NJN public television and radio with expert analysis of the results as they unfold throughout the evening. The coverage begins at 8 pm with reports from the campaign headquarters of Democratic Gubernatorial Candidate Senator Jon Corzine and Republican Gubernatorial Candidate Doug Forrester as well as coverage from the headquarters of candidates in key assembly contests. The NJN election program can be seen on cable stations throughout New Jersey as well as on NJN JerseyVision and Time Warner Cable on channel 750 in New York. Closed captioning will be provided.
Commentators include Roger Bodman, Republican political analyst; Rick Thigpen, Democratic political analyst; Julie Roginsky, Democratic political strategist; Bret Schundler, former Republican gubernatorial candidate; Nick Acocella, publisher, Politifax; Jim Goodman, reporter, Times of Trenton; David Rebovich, associate professor, Political Science, and managing director, The Rider Institute for New Jersey Politics; Cliff Zukin, professor of Public Policy, Edward J. Bloustein School at Rutgers University; and Brigid Harrison, Department of Political Science, Montclair State University. On the days following the election, NJN News and Reporters Roundtable will assess the election results, discuss policies of the incoming governor and review the legislative races.
