Invitation to Media to Attend Taping of
Get Down Tonight – The Best of 70s Disco and Dance Music

WHAT - The media is invited to attend an evening television taping of the third program in the national PBS My Music series by NJN and TJ L Productions. My Music: Get Down Tonight – The Best of 70’s Disco and Dance Music will feature the greatest recording groups from the Disco era.

WHERE - The Asbury Park Convention Hall in historic Asbury Park , New Jersey .

WHEN - Tuesday, August 17 at 7 pm . Taping takes place from 7 pm until approximately 11 pm . Please contact Aimee Fisher, Public Relations Assistant at (609) 777-5058 or email afisher@njn.org to obtain media passes for the taping. RSVP by August 15.

WHO - Co-hosts Frankie Valli, Karen Lynn Gorney and Denny Terrio with live performances by Peaches and Herb, Wild Cherry, A Taste of Honey, Martha Wash of The Weather Girls and more. Groups listed are confirmed at this time but are subject to change. See list below for artists scheduled to appear.

BACKGROUND – The program is the creation of executive producer and New Jersey native TJ Lubinsky, who is partnering with NJN Public Television and Radio to produce this national television event. Lubinsky has brought together a group of some of Jersey ’s favorite 70s dance and disco hit-makers in a performance that preserves a segment of American music and offers viewers an opportunity to witness music history in the making.
