Steven
C. Fiske, M.D., FACP
Steven Craig Fiske, M.D., FACP, FACG, was re-appointed to the NJPBA Board of Commissioners by Acting Governor Codey. He has been a Commissioner of the New Jersey Public Broadcasting Authority since 1996 and serves as Chair of the PBA Programming Committee, responsible for the conversion of NJN to digital TV broadcasting. Dr. Steven Fiske is an Alpha Omega Alpha Honors graduate of New York University School of Medicine where he also completed his residency in Internal Medicine. Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology and Hepatology he completed a Fellowship and was an Instructor of Medicine and Gastroenterology at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Womens Hospital in Boston. He has published extensively in the medical literature with a special interest in acid-peptic diseases, immunologic aspects of inflammatory bowel disease and colon cancer, as well as diabetic related liver disease. He is past president of the NJ Gastroenterology Association and is currently an Associate Professor of Medicine at Seton Hall University and Assistant Professor at UMDNJ, Newark. A recent recipient of the Community Service Award from the Crohns and Colitis Foundation of America, he is also an inductee to the Union High School Hall of Fame.
Dr. Fiske is the senior physician of North Jersey Gastroenterology Associates with offices in West Orange, Kearny and Belleville. Dr. Fiske is a native of Union. (March 2005)
