Lawrence H. Krampf
Chief Executive Officer, Princeton Communications Group, Inc.
Larry pursued his education and extensive career in advertising in New Jersey and New York City. He attended Rutgers College, graduating with degrees in business, accounting and art history. After graduation, he worked first as an accountant for Deloitte, Haskins and Sells; then as an advertising executive with Tracy-Lock/BBDO, before founding his own advertising agency, Krampf Communications, in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He later moved the firm to Somerset, New Jersey where it thrived in the 1980s. In 1987, he was honored by the Franklin Chamber of Commerce as a distinguished local businessman and outstanding graduate of Franklin High School.
In 1990, Larry formed Princeton Communications Group, Inc. (PCG) in downtown Princeton to better service a growing client list. PCG recently moved to new corporate headquarters in Pennington, New Jersey. PCG has established a reputation for creative excellence and client service, with peer-reviewed awards to the agency’s credit, and a roster of clients including such notable corporations as Johnson & Johnson, Merrill Lynch, Dow Jones, CIT, Cushman and Wakefield, Philadelphia University, Capital Health System, UMDNJ, Lucent Technologies, Tyco International, AIG, American Diabetes Association and Pharmacopeia. This past year, the company received 13 ASTRA Awards from the New Jersey Communications, Marketing, and Advertising Association (NJ CAMA), surpassing for the eighth year in a row the number of awards received by a single agency. PCG has now amassed over 200 peer-reviewed awards, representing every category recognized by the industry.
PCG has expanded with the development of a number of affiliated companies through growth and acquisition. In 2003, Larry acquired Nancy H. Becker Associates, Inc., located directly opposite the State House in Trenton. It is one of this state’s best-known, most-respected lobbying and public relations firms. For over 30 years, Nancy H. Becker Associates has achieved notable accomplishments and successes for its clients, which include a variety of businesses, corporations, nonprofits, professional and trade associations.
At the same time, Larry also acquired Marke Communications, Inc., a leading catalogue and direct response agency that for 28 years has been specializing in integrated marketing. Located on 45 West 45th Street, occupying the entire 16th floor, this acquisition provides PCG with a solid presence in New York City, and will allow both PCG and Marke to expand their client-base while servicing each others’ clients. The most recent affiliate company acquisition is Direct Solutions Network, Inc. one of the premiere telemarketing firms in the country.
Larry’s community involvement is extensive: he is past Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Middlesex County Regional Chamber of Commerce; he is currently Vice Chairman of the Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce; he is Vice President of the Board of Directors of Cancer Care, Inc. and is on the Board of Trustees for the Garden State Arts Center Foundation, The New Jersey State Chamber of Commerce, Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce and the Thomas Edison College Foundation.
